How did I get the opportunity to direct Dhanush: Velraj?
Dhanush is currently acting in a film titled Vellailla Pattathari. Debutant director Velraj who was earlier a cinematographer is directing this film. He has handled the camera for all the films directed by Vetrimaaran.
He has also handled the camera for the films which had Dhanush in the lead roles. Velraj while speaking about directing Dhanush said, "Dhanush and I will be speaking extensively during the shooting breaks.
One day, he asked me whether I can direct a film if he gives his dates. Taking this as a challenge, I have joined hands with Dhanush now. The story of this film is about a wonderful romance. Amala Paul is pairing with Dhanush. She is donning the role of a doctor. Director Samudrakani and Saranya Ponvannan are donning the role of Dhanush’s parents."
